The camera's dimension is 228mmx189mm, the weight is approximate 3.2kg, the big size gives me the illusion that it's a PTZ camera.
This dome camera adopts aluminum housing painted with light grey color. Unscrew the screws on camera, then open the plastic dome cover, we can see its internal design. Moreover, Between plastic dome cover and camera, there is a black rubber ring to help camera withstand water ingress, dust.

Panasonic WV-SFV781LH is a day/night surveillance camera, there are 18 pieces IR illuminators around the Stretchable lens.
This system supports temperature compensation function, through its internal fan and heater, the security camera can work in extreme high and low temperature condition. You can find a fan at the rear of camera, this fan can cool the system.
The on-board setting includes RAC video output, NTSC/PAL system switch, RESET button, SD card switch, SD card and Network working indicators, Auto Back Focus (ABF) button, Lens Tele/Wide (Zoom in/out).
While, this camera has simple connection interface, it has RJ45 connector which supports PoE, Audio I/O RCA connector, Alarm I/O connector, as well as DC 12V input jack. Please note that this dome camera can't be powered simultaneously by both PoE and DC 12V.
This dome camera adopts 1/1.7" progressive scan CMOS image sensor, its effective pixel up to 12.4 megapixel. In the same video parameter setting, we use the bit-rate test software to measure its video latency time. From several tests, we can conclude that its video latency is stable, controlled in the range of 500-620ms. The average video latency time is 550ms, and optimistic result is 500ms.
Similar to other Panasonic IP camera, WV-SFV781LH also supports many image enhanced technologies including wide dynamic range, 2D+3D digital noise reduction, as well as back light compensation (BLC). In the test, we put a doll inside the lamp, turn on the lamp to simulate strong light condition. After we turn on WDR function, the image get significantly improved. We can see much more detail on tester's face, as well as the doll inside the strong light lamp.
Aside from WDR, BLC function, the Panasonic WV-SFV781LH supports defog function. It has 1-128 level adjustable. After we turn on the defog function, the image becomes sharp, color and saturation enhanced.
