DS-K1T671TM-3XF is the flagship product in Hikvision’s access control portfolio. The product adopts module structure design to provide robust and flexible access control solution for commercial business applications. In addition to face recognition, the product employs thermal imaging module to provide accurate temperature measuring function. Some product highlights show as below:
Hikvision DS-K1T671TM-3XF can be easily disassembled by removing 5 screws on the back. The product has good heat dissipation design; including two aluminum plates on the back and a heavy large size of Zink-alloy metal on its core processor. No gasket found, it’s not weatherproof, only can be used indoor and should avoid dusty/moisture environment. From up to bottom, they’re thermos imaging module, dual-camera module, main-board, RFID reader, ID card reader.
In addition to a USB 2.0 port, we can find a USB 3.0 port which is used to connect the ID card reader module. On its right, it’s the RFID/MiFare card reader for access control function.
The camera module connects to the main board through flexible flat cable (FFC), dual lens design can capture 3D depth face image, the camera module offers 2-megapixel resolution, horizontal 46 degrees and vertical 87 degrees viewing angle. We can find two IR LEDs on each sides of camera module which emitting Infrared for face recognition under dim/no light condition.
The thermal imaging module (DS-2TM01-3XF) offers accurate temperature measuring. The thermal imaging module utilizes vanadium oxide uncooled sensor, offering 120x160 pixels resolution. The module operates USB NCM and USB UVC mode. Therefore, the module can be configured through web browser. When it operates under USB UVC mode, it can connect with your smartphone as a standard USB camera.
On the backside of main board, we can find the empty soldering pins for SATA/M.2 connector. I suppose it can be used for data storage purpose. For example, plugging a M.2 memory card to expand the storage size.
ST’s STM32F207 microcontroller are designed for medical, industrial and consumer applications where the high level of integration and performance, embedded memories and peripherals.
Realtek RTL8211F-CG/RTL8211FI-CG is a highly integrated Ethernet transceiver that is compatible with 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and 1000Base-T IEEE 802.3 standards. It provides all the necessary physical layer functions to transmit and receive Ethernet packets over CAT.5 UTP cable. The RTL8211FI-CG is manufactured to industrial grade standards.
The face recognition terminal employs Novatek NC966A1 SoC. Novatek is one of pioneer car camera imaging solution providers. There is no detailed information about this SoC. We only know NC966A1 is a dual-core Cortex-A53 SoC. Hikvision has applied and owned the patent which employing NC966A1 and STM32F051 chips for vehicle rear camera design.
