Eyenix EN777

EN777 is a high performance image signal processor can be used in IP camera and HD-SDI camera applications. This IPS can support maximum 3-megapixel at 30fps or 2 megapixel at 60fps video processing capability. It comes with parallel/Sub-LVDS/HiSPi interface to work with CMOS image sensors from prevailing suppliers like Sony, OminiVision, ON-Semiconductor. Similarly, it features 2D+3D noise reduction, ACE, digital zoom, WDR function to enable the final product to deliver vivid color and crystal clear image under variable lighting conditions.

Eyenix EN778

EN778, the 3MP ISP to support 2-megapixel resolution. Unlike other products, this processor has built-in EX-SDI encoder, HD-SDI TX and EX-SDI TX to offer different analog signal formats, therefore the camera can have a better interoperability with HD-SDI and EX-SDI products. Furthermore, it supports 960H CVBS and max. 1080P60 BT.1120/SMPTE274M (AHD) signal output modes.

Eyenix EN779

Eyenix EN779 is a 4-megapixel HD-SDI/EX-SDI image signal processor, the processor is designed to achieve 2560×1440 (4MP30FPS) lossless video processing by incorporating with 4MP CMOS image sensors (e.g. Sony IMX326). Similar to the predecessor EN778, the IPS can output video signals with four different format including HD-SDI, EX-SDI, AHD, CVBS. If combining the HDTVI and HDCVI tx chips, Eyenix EN779 also can output corresponding signal format to be compatible with various HD-over-coaxial CCTV video surveillance systems.

What's EX-SDI?

EX-SDI is developed by Eyenix, the EX-SDI,stands for extended serial digital interface, it's based on the existing HD-SDI technology, however greatly extend the transmission distance. According to EX-SDI whitepaper, the EX-SDI can ensure high quality HD video transmission over 300m through 3C2V coaxial cable.

Transmission HD-SDIEX-SDI
720P@25/30fps 100-150m 300-500m
1080P@25/30fps 100-150m 300-500m
1080P@50/60fps 50-70m 250-450m [3G-SDI market expansion]
Image Quality Loss-less Visually loss-less
Cost High Low
Compatibility Standard Nonstandard but compatible with HD-SDI
Expand-ability Max. 1080P@60fps 3MP-8M [4K, UHD] Support

What's ACE (Adaptive Contrast Enhancing)?

Adaptive Contrast Enhancer is necessary because imaging devices has narrow dynamic range. Conventional methods, such as Gamma Correction or Histogram Equalization, are normally lost their contents information in limit area, and then picture quality of bright/dark area can be degraded. Eyenix’s ACE processing is based on the human visual system. The ACE automatically calculates a different curve transformation for each pixel in image, based on an analysis of the image segmentation. Processed result image is capable of drastic adaptive contrast enhancer, while preserving fine details and avoiding common artifacts, gradient reversals or loss of local contrast.

What's 3D ADNR (Adaptive Digital Noise Reduction)?

The A-DNR is motion-compensated temporal noise reduction filter leads to effective noise reduction for motion video without blurring. The algorithms are based on accurately measurement of the local motion in a given video sequence, and local time averaging based on the degree and direction of motion. This spatiotemporal de-noising can reduce flickers in intraframe as well as random noise in time.
