In this article, we introduce you the new Dahua DH-IPC-PFW8608-A180 that’s a multiple lenses 180 degree panoramic camera supports the next generation H.265 video compression.

DH-IPC-PFW8608-A180 is a bullet style design panoramic camera, it comes with three lenses that used to offer panoramic viewing. This camera adopts full-sealed design, weatherproof grade reaches up to IP67, can withstand dust, rain etc harsh environment, suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. Additionally, it uses IK10 vandal-resistant heavy-duty aluminium housing.

In terms of interface, the camera has a TF card slot to offer on-board video storage, includes BNC analog video output for easy on-site camera installation and debugging; a reset button; audio input & output; a RJ45 port with PoE, a DC 12V/AC 24V dual voltage input; alarm input & output. This camera can directly connect to PC for remote viewing.

In addition, the camera has infrared illuminators offer 50 meters IR illumination range, it has a microphone built-in to support video & audio recording.

In order to achieve high resolution video capturing, each of camera modules adopt 2.0-megapixel CMOS image sensor with a fixed 3.6mm lens. Three lenses design can offer horizontal 180 degree and vertical 44 degree ultra wide viewing angle. The single image resolution is 1920x1080, after combining three images together, the camera is able to deliver panoramic viewing image with 4096x832 resolution, that’s a retangle shape panoramic image. Additionally, this panoramic camera supports ePTZ function and split viewing mode.

In terms of video compression, Dahua DH-IPC-PFW8608-A180 supports multiple video compression format includes H.264, H.264B, H.264H, MJPEG,  and the next generation H.265 video compression format, can meet the requirement for both conventional and the latest video surveillance systems. If utilizing H.265 compression format, the bandwidth and video storage can reduce 50%.

Lastly, this camera supports 3D-denoise, AGC, Smart IR function. You may want to know its low light performance, according to the real test result, Color to B/W threshold value is 0.78Lux, and in B/W mode, when illumination is 0.01Lux, the camera still can clear see objects.
