8 megapixel 180° panoramic network dome camera Infinova

Infinova is stock listed security company specialized in video surveillance products. Last year, the company acquired Swann, the No.1 DIY security products provider based in Australia. Today, we bring you its latest network security camera - VP120-A605, which is a 8 megapixel 180° panoramic network dome camera for both indoors and outdoors.

VP120-A605 consists of four pieces of individual CMOS camera modules which has built-in 1/3" CMOS low illumination image sensor and no-distortion 5mm fixed lens. Incorporating accurate splicing technology to combine four separate images to one 180 degree panoramic image. Meanwhile, keeping color, brightness and resolution the same to produce a panoramic image. The panoramic image can achieve maximum 8MP@25fps resolution, which is quite suitable for motion surveillance scenarios.

Durable design supports vandal-proof

This network camera comes with a heavy-duty housing, incorporating dual-layers protection dome cover, ensuring its weatherproof design up to IP66. The camera supports 1K vandal-proof design.

This camera utilizes 4 individual /3" CMOS camera module equipped with 5mm len, each of camera module can deliver images with maximum 3 megapixel resolution. The image sensor featured with low illumination for delivering video with excellent image quality.

In terms of interface, this camera comes with a 10M/100M self-adaptive Ethernet port, 1CH Audio I/O, and Alarm I/O. It uses DC 12V power supply, internal hardware supports surge protection and anti-static protection features, enable it provide stable performance for outdoor installation.

In addition to fine manufacturing, this camera has full-sealed waterproof design, it has built-in fan and heater to allow camera maintain internal temperature, so that this network camera works in -40°C ~ +50°C wide temperature range.

Mature panoramic technology

Entering into camera's web interface, the web interface is user-friendly, easy to operate. Preview allows user to choose different modes including 180 degree panoramic viewing, 2 images split view, 4 images split view. Unlike other competitor's products, the reproduced image from VP120-A605 is nearly without image distortion.

Double click on panoramic image can enlarge the independent image, operation is easy. Independent image can fill the full screen, which displays much more details, effectively compensate details for panoramic viewing. This camera can link with Infinova PTZ camera, incorporating PTZ camera to zoom in details.

This network basic performance is reliable. According to the testing result from Infinova, the individual camera module can deliver HD images with over 1000TVL horizontal and vertical resolution. Making the camera aim at 24 colors reproduction testing color, except pink slightly cast, the overall color reproduction is accurate. Setting video parameter in 1080p @ 25fps 4Mbps, the camera's video latency time is approximate 500 ms, bit-rate is controlled within the range of 3.3 - 4.1Mbps.

Putting the camera into dark box, gradually reducing the low illumination, with AGC function, the image keep good quality, basically no noise. When illumination is 3Lux, camera will automatically switch to B/W mode, the captured image keeps clear, no image noise. Keep reducing illumination to 0.02Lux, image still can be recognizable, this shows its low illumination performance is outstanding.
