5-megapixel resolution offers more than two times pixels than regular HDTV (1080p, 2-megapixel). The 5MP video consists of horizontal 2,560 pixels x vertical 1,920 pixels, maintains 4:3 aspect ratio. Utilizing 5-megapixel IP surveillance system enables covering more space or zoom in for more detail.
NS5025VB58-A is a high-quality, high-performance 5MP Full HD Network IR Bullet Camera, it has a 1/1.8-inch progressive scan CMOS image sensor with IR-CUT filter built-in to capture the video. Thanks to its robust video encoding processor – Hi3516A, this camera can provide maximum 5MP@30fps video encoding, with three different compression standard (H.265/HEVC, H.264, MJPEG).
It offers 5MP (2560x1920) at 25/30fps, 1080P (1920x1080) at 25/30fps video encoding options. In terms of image processing functions, it provides Digital-WDR, 3D-DNR (dynamic noise reduction), BLC, Mirror, Flip, Rotation, Digital image stabilizer, Lens distortion correction and more. Thanks to its Hi3516A, this camera has ROI and smart detection functions, it has a web-server built-in to provide multiple network monitoring including web accessing, CMS, NVR, Smartphones.
NS5025VB58-A is one of members of H.265/HEVC family, by employing H.265 video compression technology, this camera can reduce both bandwidth and storage consumption by up to 50% while retaining the highest image quality. It also utilizes self-adaptive bandwidth technology to solve the network congestion, and deliver smooth video under slow network conditions.
NS5025VB58-A can deliver 5-megapixel video because it uses a 6-megapixel CMOS image sensor - IMX178LQJ from Sony Starvis product portfolio. In addition to the 5MP resolution, this CMOS image sensor owns high-sensitivity characteristic, it's based on Sony back-illuminated structure 2.4 µm unit pixel can achieve 0.05Lux (F1.2) in color and 0.01Lux in B/W star-light performance.
Remark: Starvis is the registered trademark of Sony Corporation, Starvis stands for Star vision, the Starvis CMOS image sensors are dedicated to security cameras, by optimizing light sensitivity can enable security cameras to achieve high picture quality in the visible-light and near infrared light regions.
Equipped with 3.6-10mm vari-focal motorized lens, the camera automatically adjusts the viewing angle based on different monitored scenes, greatly reducing the working load in camera’s installation, also allowing lens remote control through web, smartphone, NVR and PTZ keyboard by RS485 connection, easily and smoothly zoom in/out with 4x optical zoom.
This camera comes rich interface, including 2/1 Alarm In/Out to integrate with other security equipment; Audio I/O to connect a microphone and speaker for two-way audio talking, and USB port to connect with a hard drive, offering up to 64GB on-board storage; Analog video BNC output to make on-site camera installation become super easy; Reset button to reset the camera to factory once you encounter problems which can’t be solved.

5MP Network Bandwidth
The bandwidth requirement is determined by the bitrate setting. The default bitrate value of a 5-megapixel IP camera is 9216Kb/s, the required network bandwidth is 10Mbps. However, if using the H.265/HEVC compression, the bandwidth will reduce to half, that is 5Mbps.
