4K H.265 NVR FAQ

Does this NVR can work with my Honeywell network cameras?

All of our professional NVRs are compliant with ONVIF standard for working with third-party IP security cameras, this means the NVR can perfectly work with your IP cameras from Hikvision, Dahua, Honeywell, Sony, Vivotek, Hanwha, KT&C, Watchdog, Uniview… and more brands.

What type of monitor can be connected to a NVR?

This depends on which NVR. Our regular H.264 NVR has both HDMI and VGA ports to work with HDTV monitors, but this 4K H.264+ NVRs only has a HDMI port which can output 4K video. 1080P resolution is the minimum requirement to the connected monitor. These NVRs will not work with your outdated HD resolution monitors (e.g. 720p LCD monitors). In order to achieve the 4K video surveillance, we recommend users to use the 4K LCD monitor.

Does this NVR can work in my country?

This NVR can work in any countries, it comes a AC/DC adapter which can fit 100-240V AC voltage input. Additionally, the adapters have EU, British, American, Australian standard plugs. The NVR system can let users to choose PAL or NTSC standard therefore can be suitable to the TV system in your country.

How to access the NVR to watch live video?

There are many methods to achieve the remote video surveillance. The easiest way is using P2P connection. This NVR comes with free smartphone App (AEeye), once installed the App, users can instantly access the NVR to watch HD live video. The another way is using the DDNS function, the NVR supports several different free & paid DDNS service providers, typing the domain/url into the web browser, you can access the camera’s web interface. Other alternative methods including using RTSP/RMST multi-media stream protocols, or any ONVIF compliant App/software.

How the smart video analytics works?

The NVR has incorporated smart video analytics 2.0 into its design. Smart video analytics function can be achieved on the side of NVR, it doesn’t need the involvement from the IP cameras. It can work with common IP cameras that may not support video analytics.

What can I benefit from H.264+?

H.264+ as the latest video compression standard advocates to save up to 50 percent of storage and network bandwidth. On the other hand, using H.264+ technology, your cameras are able to transmit higher resolution video under existing network bandwidth conditions if comparing with H.264 video compression standard. It's noted that this benefit only can be achieved on the premise that both IP cameras and NVRs support H.264+ standard.
