H.265/H.264/MJPEG video format

H.265 video format supported to allow users to benefits from this new video compression technology. H.265 promises to lower fifty percent bitrate, therefore can save half network bandwidth and the video storage, which in turn, greatly reducing the cost of running the IP security system. H.264+ also enables 4K video transmission over limited network bandwidth to become possible. Under the same bandwidth, H.265 can allow your system to have more IP cameras connected or transmit higher resolution video.

4K H.265 NVR FAQ

How long does the H.264+ NVR record?

The video recording & storage length is determined by many factors. Recording mode, resolution, bitrate and frame rate parameters are the most important factors among them. The NVR has installed 12TB HDDs can record approximate 9 days if it connects with 16-channels video with 4K resolution in 24 hours video recording manner.

Does this NVR support my H.264 IP cameras?

As it supports H.264+H.264/MJPEG video format, it also work with your traditional H.264 IP cameras.

What processor does the NVR use?

The NVR uses Hisilicon Hi3798M V200 processor, it’s a 4K system-on-chip solution has the reliable Linux OS embedded. This processor adopts Quad core Cortex A53 processor (15K DMIPS), integrated with a 3D ARM Mali-450 and Hisilicon Dual-core GPU, included HiVXE 2.0 video engine supporting 4Kp60 10-bit H.264+ and VP9 decoding, 4Kp30 H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, VC1, VP6/VP8, Real Media 8/9/10.

How to select a monitor to work with it?

The NVR only has a single HDMI video output, it’s required to use a 4K monitor to achieve 4K video surveillance, and the minimum required resolution is 1080P. Therefore, the NVR only works with HDTV or 4K monitors equipped with a HDMI port.

Can it connect to the WiFi?

It can’t not directly connect to WiFi, as it doesn’t have WiFi module built-in. However, it can work with 4G/3G and WiFi dongle, which can enable it to use WiFi for network connection. Due to the bandwidth limitation, we don’t recommend users to use WiFi connection.

My network cameras can’t be discovered

If both IP cameras and the NVR connect correctly to the router/switch, but the NVR can’t discover any cameras, there is most likely an IP conflict. The easiest solution is to change the default IP address either on IP cameras or the NVR. Additionally, making sure you have ticked/selected all the protocols when manually search the IP cameras on NVR.
