Well, the product is super easy to be installed. You can mount the doorbell on door by using the included 3M double-side tape, or screws. Unlike similar product in market, the product supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) feature by using the included PoE injector. PoE feature enables camera to achieve data and power transmission through one Ethernet cable. Merely plugging the Ethernet cable, the device will operate; this eliminates excessive cable layout to simplify installation. To install and setup the device, you don’t need to be a professional. The app is very user-friendly, the device uses P2P for remote view, it doesn’t require complicated network settings.  

5# What’s the requirement for network/router?

The device works with nearly 99% network environment. For wireless network connection, it requires 802.3b/g/n 2.4G router, so it works with your dual-band router. When install it ensuring the device is within coverage of Wi-Fi signal, the signal strength should be 4 bar level, if not you can use Wi-Fi booster/extender to overcome it. Alternatively, you can run the Ethernet cable between the device and router, the maximum distance is up to 100 meters, for PoE connection distance limitation is 50 meters. Running Ethernet cable or wired network connection will bring you many benefits; on one hand, you can use PoE to eliminate power cable wiring. On the other hand, you will have a stable and reliable network connection, no worry on wireless interference. 

6# Does it work with my Hikvision NVR?

The answer is Yes, it works with your Hikvision DVR or NVR. You’re able to add the device to your Hikvision recorder by using ONVIF protocol. Contrary to battery-powered smart doorbell, our device is able to deliver 24 hours video to your recorder. But, it should be noted that it can’t directly plug to the Hikvision PoE NVR, because smart doorbell’s PoE is non-standard. If you wish to connect it to your Hikvision PoE NVR, please use the provided PoE injector.
